S.U.I.T. Up!
No one was born knowing what a resume was or what to wear to an interview. Most people still don’t know the concept of “if you’re early, you’re on time. if you’re on time, you’re late” and continue to leave a song on their voicemail recording.
Whether it was your highschool algebra teacher or your basketball coach, someone in your life cared about you enough to show you the ropes. Many at risk young men today, unfortunately, do not have positive role models in their lives.
S.U.I.T. Up (Success and Unity Inspire Transformation) is a community based program started to prepare at risk youth for job placement and college enrollment. The program involves educating students on resume and interview skills, assistance with internship opportunities, on site visits at companies around the tri state area and wardrobe assistance for interviews.
Most of these young men can not afford interview appropriate clothing, S.U.I.T. Up is looking for any gently used suits and shoes to be donated to these young men. In addition to getting new suits, these young men will learn styling tips and the key to a diverse wardrobe.
The goal is to forward are amazing youth and provide them with the tools to succeed. The possibilities are unlimited!
